The Italian Market is Halifax's premiere destination for all things Italian with the most extensive array of imported specialty products east of Montréal.

Founded in 1994 by Nathan (Gus) Abato his vision lives on with the present owners, Ron and Juliette Marks and their team of talented culinary, pastry and deli staff who all share a passion for Italian food and quality ingredients.

The Italian Market appeals to a wide customer demographic through its various business segments including a Groceteria complete with deli meats, cheese, and ready-made meals, a bustling trattoria, an exquisite bakery and extensive catering options for the office and at home.

We are committed to providing excellence in customer service and to offering delicious and authentic Italian foods to eat in, takeaway, or to be catered to a site of your choice.
